La Stara Glass ha sviluppato al suo interno un ambiente di progettazione assistita “MOSA” che gli consente di:

• DEFINIRE nel dettaglio tutte le dimensioni del forno;

• DEFINIRE tutte le strutture refrattarie determinando le temperature degli strati e le dispersioni termiche;

• SIMULARE il bilancio termico del forno con consumi e dispersioni;

• CALCOLARE lo scambio termico dei rigeneratori definendone dimensioni e materiali;

• CALCOLARE lo scambio termico dei recuperatori definendone le dimensioni;

• CALCOLARE i materiali refrattari occorrenti ed emettere la lista dei refrattari con quantità, pesi e costi bugettari.

MOSA è inoltre munita di un’interfaccia con un programma di disegno parametrico in grado di fornire in tempo reale tutti i disegni esecutivi dei refrattari in formato “dwg”.

PUMA (Progetto Unit Melter Avanzato)
La Stara Glass è impegnata in un grande progetto di ricerca con Ansalado Ricerche, CETMA (ENEA), Scandiuzzi sud e Saint - Gobain Italia che si propone lo studio e la realizzazione in piena scala di un recuperatore metallico in grado di preriscaldare l’aria comburente a più di 900°C.
Stara Glass has developed inside an area of assisted design called “MOSA” which allows to:

• DEFINE in the details all the furnace dimensions;

• DEFINE all the refractory structures by calculating the temperatures in the coats and the thermal dispersions;

• SIMULATE the furnace’s thermal balance with consumptions and dispersions;

• CALCULATE the regenerators’ thermal exchange and define their dimensions and materials;

• CALCULATE the recuperators’thermal exchange and define their dimensions;

• CALCULATE the necessary refractory materials and issue the refractory list completed with quantites, weights and budget costs.

Furthermore MOSA is supplied with an interface having a program for parametric drawing,which is able to supply on real time all the executive drawings relative to the refractory materials in “dwg” file.

PUMA (Advanced Unit Melter Projet)
STARA GLASS is involved in a big research program together with Ansaldo Ricerche, CETMA (ENEA), Scandiuzzi sud and Saint - Gobain Italia having the aim to study and carry out on large scale a metallic recuperator able to pre-heat the combustion air at more than 900° C.
